Owner.com charges "$249 /month + 5% restaurant fee per order" or "$499 /month with no additional restaurant fees", and says "On both plans, guests pay a 5% order support fee". Take Your Menu builds your restaurant its own ordering website for a one-time fee, then a flat $50 a month with no per-order fee and no fee added for your customers.
| Owner.com | Take Your Menu | |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly price | "$249 /month + 5% restaurant fee per order" (Flexible), or "$499 /month with no additional restaurant fees" (Flat Rate, "Best for restaurants at $5k+/mo in online sales.") | $50 a month, or $500 a year, plus applicable tax |
| Fee on each order | Restaurant: 5% on Flexible, none on Flat Rate. Customers, on both plans: "guests pay a 5% order support fee that covers fulfillment and customer service." | None, for you or your customers |
| Set-up cost | No setup price listed. Its pricing page says "We handle your entire switch. You get a dedicated specialist." | A one-time build fee of $500 for a new website with online ordering, built from your current online menu and paid in full to start. Or $149 if you keep your website and only swap the order button |
| Contract | "Pay month-to-month with no long-term contracts." | None. Leaving is one button, and you take your menu, orders, opted-in customer list and photos |
| Card payments | Its pricing page does not say how card money is paid out | Your own Stripe or Square account; the money goes straight to you. Stripe and Square charge their usual processing fee |
| Your website | "Owner replaces your current website. We redirect your domain to your new website with Owner. You always keep ownership of your domain name." And: "If you're looking for a lot of design freedom, Owner is not the right fit for your business." | Built for your restaurant, on your own domain, in your colors, with a page for each dish |
| Delivery | "They charge us about $7 to help you offer delivery, which we charge directly to you at no markup from us." | A driver from your own Uber Direct account, if you want delivery. You pay Uber's delivery fee, which you can pass on to your customer. No commission on the food |
| Phone app | "Branded Mobile App" | A home-screen web app with your name, colors and icon, "Order again", and alerts when an order is accepted or ready. Not an app-store app |
| Support | "24/7 Support": "You're 24/7, so our support is, too." | The people who built your site. Not 24/7 |
Owner.com's prices, fees and what is included are from its pricing page; the website lines from its website page; delivery from its delivery page; point-of-sale systems from its integrations page. All read November 2, 2026. Take Your Menu's prices are on our home page.
For fairness, the same Owner.com answer also says: "When your customers order from third-party apps, they're charged fees up to 15% of their order, so they'll pay less when they order directly from you." Ordering direct is cheaper for customers than the delivery apps with either company; the difference here is the 5% on top.
Where Owner.com does more: a real app in the app stores ("Branded Mobile App"); it connects to point-of-sale systems ("Owner has a native integration with Clover, and connects to Toast, Square, Lightspeed and more."), and ours does not yet; support around the clock ("You're 24/7, so our support is, too."), and ours is not 24/7; a named person to move you ("You get a dedicated specialist."); text message marketing ("Proven email and text message campaigns that drive sales on their own."), where ours sends automatic emails only, once you switch them on; and "Chargeback Protection", where ours go to your own Stripe or Square. If one of those matters most to you, tell us when you write.
An example with Owner.com's published prices (the arithmetic is ours): a restaurant with $10,000 a month in online orders pays Owner.com $249 plus 5% of $10,000 ($500), so $749 a month on Flexible, or $499 on Flat Rate. If the 5% guest fee is taken on the same $10,000, its customers pay $500 more on top. The same orders on Take Your Menu cost $50 a month, with nothing per order and nothing added for customers. Card processing fees come on top with either company.
Against that stands our one-time build fee. The savings calculator puts in your own numbers and shows how many months it takes to earn the build fee back. Owner.com also says "Special rates available for multi-location".
Owner.com's help article "How do automated Google reviews work?" (April 16, 2026) says:
"If they tap 👍, they're sent to your restaurant's Google review page."
"If they tap 👎, they see a short private feedback form only you can see."
"This ensures only your happiest guests are prompted to leave a public review."
Google's policy "Fake & Misleading Content & Reviews", under "We do not allow merchants to:", lists:
"Discourage or prohibit negative reviews, or selectively solicit positive reviews from customers"
What ours does: after an order is completed, every customer gets one email with two links of equal standing, "Write a Google review" and "Tell us privately". Nothing looks at how the order went before deciding to ask. It is off until you switch it on.
Owner.com lists "$249 /month + 5% restaurant fee per order" on its Flexible plan, or "$499 /month with no additional restaurant fees" on Flat Rate. On both plans, its pricing page says "guests pay a 5% order support fee".
A one-time build fee of $500 for a new website with online ordering, built from your current online menu and paid in full to start ($149 if you keep your website and only swap the order button), then $50 a month or $500 a year for hosting, plus applicable tax. There is no per-order fee for you or your customers. Card payments go through your own Stripe or Square account, which charge their usual processing fee.
On the published prices, Take Your Menu's monthly cost is lower at any order volume. Owner.com lists no build fee, so the difference at the start is our one-time build fee. The savings calculator works it out with your own numbers.
Not yet. Orders arrive on our own kitchen screen and printers.
Yes. Your domain stays in your own account, and you point it wherever you like.
No. Leaving is one button in your admin. The hosting price can change with 30 days' notice by email; a year paid up front keeps its price until renewal.
