Take Your Menu ("we") builds and hosts direct online-ordering websites for restaurants. This policy covers the information we handle in running our own business: this website (takeyourmenu.com), our dealings with restaurant owners, and the ordering websites we host for restaurants.
You can browse this site without giving us anything. If you email us, we get whatever you send -- typically your name, email address, restaurant name and your message -- and use it only to reply to you. This site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when a page loads. We don't use advertising trackers, ad networks or third-party analytics on this site.
For restaurants that hire us, we keep the business contact details, the login details for your site's admin (passwords are stored hashed, never in plain text), and billing records. Card payments for our invoices are processed by Stripe; we never see or store card numbers. We use this information to build and run your site, bill you, contact you about your account, and send security and service notices.
Each restaurant's ordering website has its own privacy policy, and the restaurant decides how its customers' information is used. We store and process that information on the restaurant's behalf -- as its service provider, only to operate its site -- and don't use it for our own purposes, sell it, or share it with other restaurants. A restaurant's emails to its customers are sent from the restaurant's own email account, not ours.
To protect the sites we host from attacks, our servers log basic request details, including IP addresses, and we keep those logs for a limited time.
We don't sell personal information. We share it only with the providers that help us run the service -- our web host, Stripe for payments, and our email provider -- or when the law requires it.
Our services are for businesses and aren't directed to children under 13.
