This policy explains what information Gyro First ("we") collects through this online ordering website, how we use it, and the choices you have. This website is run for Gyro First by our website provider, which stores and processes the information below on our behalf and only to operate this site.

What we collect

• When you order: your name, phone number, the items, options and notes on your order, how you're paying (card or cash), any tip, and the time you want it. For delivery orders, your delivery address and any delivery instructions. Your email address if you give it (it's optional).
• Notes you choose to add, such as food allergies. Please only share what we need to prepare your order safely.
• If you join our email list (the checkbox at checkout, or the "Join the list" form): your email address, how and when you joined, and the wording you agreed to.
• If you leave a review or rate an order: the name, rating and comments you submit.
• Group orders: the names and items each person adds, visible to others in the same group order.
• Technical information: your IP address and basic request details (browser type, pages requested), which our website provider keeps in security logs to protect the site from abuse. Your cart is saved in your own browser's local storage so it isn't lost if you reload the page.

We don't collect or store payment card numbers. Card payments are handled by our payment processor under its own privacy policy.

How we use it

To prepare and hand over your order and contact you about it; to apply coupons, happy-hour prices and loyalty rewards (which we track by phone number); to send order updates to your email if you gave one; to answer your questions and reviews; to keep the site secure; and, only if you're on our email list, to send you specials and news.

Marketing emails

At checkout, the "Email me specials" box next to the email field is checked for you. Uncheck it if you don't want marketing emails; you'll still get messages about your own order. Every marketing email says who it's from and has a one-tap unsubscribe link that works without logging in. Unsubscribing takes effect right away. We keep a record of your opt-out so you aren't added back by mistake. If you're on our email list and you start an order here without finishing it, we may send you one reminder email listing the items you had picked, at most once every 7 days. For that, the browser you ordered with keeps a random code, and the items in the unfinished order (not your notes, and nothing you typed without sending) are kept by us until the reminder is sent or you order; unsubscribing stops these reminders too. We don't text you marketing messages.

Text messages

If we offer texts, checkout has a box to get texts about your order (when it's accepted and ready) and a separate, unchecked box for deals and news. We only text you what you ticked. Reply STOP to any text to stop them, or HELP for help; message and data rates may apply. We keep a record of your consent and of any opt-out. Mobile phone numbers and text-message consent are never shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for their marketing.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for advertising. We share it only with the service providers that help us run this site, and only as needed: our website provider (hosting, storage and security), our payment processor (card payments), the courier service for delivery orders (your name, phone, address and delivery notes), our email provider (to send emails), and our text-message provider (to send texts, if you asked for them). This site also loads its typefaces from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when the page loads. We may disclose information if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep order records as long as we need them to run the restaurant and meet tax and accounting requirements. Security logs are kept for a limited time. Email-list records are kept until you ask us to delete them, including your opt-out record.

Children

This site isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information.

Your choices and rights

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time with the link in any of them. You can ask us what information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, using the contact details below. We'll respond within a reasonable time and as the law in your state requires.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here with a new date.
